This week: CURVY Melbourne event + Just Another Group Show

A few days ago, I did not have artworks in any exhibitions this week. Now, I have work in two separate, awesome exhibitions!

(A Funeral in December)

A print of ‘A Funeral in December’ joins works by the incredibly talented CURVY 2012 artists from all over the globe at the Melbourne launch of the annual CURVY book + group exhibition, tomorrow Wednesday 12 September at Frankie + Swiss, 199 Toorak Rd South Yarra 6-9pm. This event opens the awesome Semi Permanent conference.

Also part of Semi-Permanent Melbourne, Just Another Agency is offering the third instalment of their annual “Just Another Group Show” – an exhibition celebrating the diversity and eclectic nature of the agency’s stable of artists. Each artist involved has been asked to create a single piece of work showcasing their unique style, formatted to a square.  The exhibition opens this Thursday 13 September.

I would have loved to be part of this exciting exhibition, but my work schedule meant that I didn’t have the time to create any artwork for it… until today. I found a ‘canvas’ on the side of the road that was just too perfect NOT to paint, so I dropped what I was doing to complete a piece, which is now on its way to the venue.

(Last Minute)

‘Last Minute’, ink, acrylic + aerosol paint on board 720 x 740mm, for sale at Just Another Group Show, 1000 Pound Bend 361 Lonsdale Street Melbourne.
